Standard Installation of a Cryogenic Freezer

Here at Freezing Systems we manufacture cryogenic freezers.  A cryogenic freezer is simply an insulated environment that is cooled by liquid nitrogen (LN2) or liquid carbon dioxide (CO2).  The cooling is also added by using special nozzles to spray the cryogen and fans to move the supper cooled air.  There are several different configuration of these freezer.  We can assist you in a complete turn key installation of your freezer.  Providing piping of cryogen and exhaust system.

Below is a rendering of a standard installation of a tunnel freezer.  You can see that the cryogenic liquid is stored outside and piped to the freezer.  See our vacuum jacketed piping section for more information on piping cryogenic liquids.  On the roof you will see an exhaust blower and exhaust duct to the exit end of the freezer.  Proper exhaust removal is extremely important.  The vapors from LN2 and CO2 are not deadly.  They are present with every breath we take, However, they can displace the oxygen in the room and cause asphyxiation.  The freezer in the room is our standard straight single module freezer.

To see more details about our single section tunnel freezer which is in the above picture click the 1 section image below.  With our standard module we can quickly create a custom freezer.  Click the image below of the 3 section to see how easily we can create a freezer to fit your needs.  Our standard tunnel design is very versatile.  Our tunnel has several different belt configurations to efficiently cool or freeze your product.  Click on the other options below to learn more.
